CIOB Event
CIOB Safer Building UK Conference
£35.00
Summary
There is a culture change needed to ensure that the buildings we create and manage are safe for those who occupy them. This conference brings together perspectives on the new regulatory system that will govern the design, construction, and occupation of higher-risk buildings, described as the biggest change in building safety in a generation.
Delegates will hear from Lord Stephen Greenhalgh, Minister of State (for Building Safety and Fire), Dame Judith Hackitt DBE, author of the Independent Review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety and Peter Baker, Chief Inspector of Buildings at HSE. The conference explores the progress being made on the Building Safety Programme, gives the inside track on the Building Safety Act and details the new duty-holder competency standards. Speakers will also give the latest guidance on procurement, discussing the responsibilities of those who own and manage high rise residential buildings and how they are engaging with residents on building safety.
